Ashley Kim has been nationally recognized in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards as well as an alumna of the Kenyon Young Writers Workshop. Her work has been and/or will be published in The Bookends Review, JMMW, Eunoia Review, and The Rising Phoenix Review. From a young age, she was inspired by fantasy writers such as J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. She is currently fascinated by Margaret Atwood, Virginia Woolf, and F. Scott Fitzgerald, for their versatility and beautiful use of language. As Editor-in-Chief of her school newspaper and co-owner of an independent news journal, Ashley seeks to understand conflicting perspectives over political and social issues. After graduating high school this year, Ashley will attend Columbia University in New York City, majoring in English and Comparative Literature. She also enjoys watching documentaries, studying theology, practicing calligraphy, solving crossword puzzles, and performing in her school’s dance team. Her website is ashleyikim.com.
