Spirituality refers to paying attention to the larger part of us, often referred to as the soul. We are each three-part beings made up of mind, body, and soul, and the soul is that part of us that is most purely connected to what some call God, Allah, Source Energy, Divine Intelligence, and countless other names. However, it really doesn’t matter what we call It because as Shakespeare noted, “A rose by any other name would smell as sweet!”
And sweet it is, when we choose to walk the spiritual path, paying attention to the things in life that resonate deeply with our souls. How do we know when we are in resonance? Quite simply, we feel good! When we commit to staying in touch with our souls, we find the deepest happiest and most profound peace. It may sound simple, but it isn’t always easy, as life has a myriad of ways of pulling us off course. This is why I am delighted to offer a spiritual advice column in See Beyond Magazine titled “Soul Advice with Annie Sims.” My invitation to our readers is this:
If there is anything in your life that is currently presenting a challenge, or perhaps something that has bothered you for a very long time, I encourage you to shine a light on it. Where there is light, darkness cannot prevail. It would be my blessing to assist you if it feels right for you, as all true benefits are mutual. And please always remember this:
“Where there is love, fear cannot be.
Where there is light, the black of night means nothing to me.
Where there is truth you have the proof to set yourself free.”
